Dr. Ketan K. Badani Honored with the Prestigious Menon Medal Award

We are proud to announce that Ketan K. Badani, MD, FRCS (Hon.) has been awarded theprestigious Menon Medal Award, recognizing his extraordinary contributions to the field ofrobotic kidney surgery.


With more than 3,000 robotic renal procedures performed over two decades, representingthe largest single surgeon experience worldwide, Dr. Badani’s career reflects the veryevolution of robotic urologic surgery. From his early cases using a 3 arm robotic system in2004 to advancing multiport platforms and pioneering modern single port innovations, hiswork has helped define the global standard of care.


Each year, the North American Robotic Urology Society bestows the prestigious MenonMedal to recognize a surgeon who has made high impact contributions to robotic surgery

across a wide range of applications, including prostate, bladder, and kidney cancer, as wellas kidney transplantation. The medal honors Dr. Mani Menon, the internationally renownedsurgeon whose pioneering work and innovations laid the foundations of modern roboticsurgery. The recipient also serves as the Keynote Speaker at the annual North AmericanRobotic Urology Society meeting in recognition of innovation, leadership, and groundbreakingachievements in robotic surgery.
